Assignment: Engaged by the Orange County Water District to negotiate the terms of an option and long term ground lease for a privately-operated energy production facility.
Result: Negotiated a 20-year ground lease with a three (3) 10-year options to extend the lease. The Hefner Team was able to negotiate an additional $27,770,000 in total lease consideration over the initial offer from Competitive Power Ventures, nearly doubling the value of the lease for the client.
